An Exhibition of Artworks in Water Media hosted by Historic Santa Fe Foundation in recognition of the region’s rich palette and creative inspirations. The exhibition will open September 1, 2017 at HSFF and will run through September 29, 2017.
Call for Entries
The Historic Santa Fe Foundation (HSFF) invites artists to participate in an exhibition of artworks in watercolor, gouache, acrylic paint and water-based ink inspired by Northern New Mexico. Each work must be produced in New Mexico in water media on paper or canvas. With this event, HSFF hopes to encourage a broader knowledge and appreciation of the rich cultural, natural and architectural heritage that characterizes our state (see the Foundation’s Registry of over 90 significant historic structures and sites).

Guidelines for Submission
Participation is open to all and there is no cost to submit entries
Entrants can submit up to 3 works
All works entered must be no larger than 24” x 24” unframed
Artists can apply by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with jpeg images of their artwork, along with their name, title of art work, medium, and the dimensions of the painting unframed. Email applications must have “APPLICATION for “Pushing the Boundaries” in the subject line of the email.
Images must be .jpg and each image should be labeled with the artist’s last and first names, for example SmithJane1.jpg and SmithJane2.jpg. Digital images must be at least 800 pixels (8 inches) on the longest side and 72dpi
Artists should email the images as attachments to email@example.com by July 14th. The email must contain specification for each work as follows:
Mailed-in paper entries should be accompanied by clear printed digital images of the artworks.
Acceptance to the exhibition will be determined by HSFF and participants will be notified of selection by July 31, 2017.
Delivery of Artworks: Selected artworks should be delivered to Historic Santa Fe Foundation on August 28th by 4 pm. Works must be framed or able to be hung safely on a wall (glass is OK). Most works will be for sale and priced by the artist. Painters will receive 80% of the sale price while 20% will be a tax-deductible donation to Historic Santa Fe Foundation.
