Art Openings - El Zaguán is the oldest artists’ colony on Santa Fe’s east side. Its history as a home to artists dates to the 1920s when it was acquired and converted to apartments by Margretta Dietrich, sister of artist Dorothy Stewart. Today, it houses five artists and serves as the Foundations’ headquarters. For more information about our artist residency program, click here. For the history of the Colony, click here.

Occasionally, we host house concerts at El Zaguán. Visiting artists should contact us at info@historicsantafe.org

Special Events at El Zaguán
