On/Off Hours 6
HSFF's 2020 Annual Staff Show

OPENING FEBRUARY 7, 2020

EXHIBITION CONTINUES THROUGH FEBRUARY 28

Historic Santa Fe Foundation (HSFF) will host its sixth annual staff show titled On/Off Hours 6. Exhibition opens at El Zaguán, 545 Canyon Road, Suite 2, Santa Fe, NM on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 5-7pm and continues through February 28, 2020.

On/Off Hours 6 will feature artist-selected works including Jacqueline Hill's ceramics and collages, Melanie McWhorter's paintings and photographs, Mara Saxer's  stained glass and jewelry, and Pete Warzel's photographs.

Jacqueline Hill has worked in clay since the 1960s and her magic pinch pots are available in the El Zaguán Gift Shop. She is represented by High Road Art Gallery in Truches, NM. This year’s show will feature her unique and creative framed collage pieces and collection of her earthy ceramic vases. She has been the Office Manager at the HSFF for over six years.

Melanie McWhorter spent decades in the field of photobooks and draws on the work of influential photographers in her personal art. Her photographs are in the collections of University of Colorado, Boulder Special Collections and The Palace of the Governors, Santa Fe, NM. More on McWhorter on her website or Instagram @mellyvanilla. This year's exhibition features small paintings and photographs. She is the Development Coordinator for HSFF.

Mara Saxer is an Austrian-born artist who grew up in Santa Fe. When she isn't keeping the Foundation's properties and easements in tip-top shape, she dabbles in crafts from fiber arts to jewelry and stained glass. She will be showing works in stained glass that use recycled materials to create new forms, as well as mixed media jewelry containing glass, recycled computer parts and more traditional findings. More about Mara on her website. Mara is the Preservation Specialist for HSFF.

Pete Warzel is the Executive Director of the Historic Santa Fe Foundation. He presents new, primarily black and white photographs, of small moments and eccentric places in his 2019 travels.

Please join us for the opening on February 7, 2020.
